Get Off The COUCH!

I spend too much time doing...... Nothing. I have decided this no longer works for me. Instead of the PS3, I would like to be interacting with the real world. This blog is a chronicle of the real world.
I do have to apologize for the pictures, I did not have a chance to crop or anything so they are what they are, I will clean up the pictures in future posts.
Sunday, 3-7-10, was a very exciting day for us. Uniontown, a little place about 100 miles south of Spokane was having a sausage feed! Locally made sausage! Mashed potato joy! Green beans with bacon! Saurkraut! Applesauce! Rolls! AND PIE! Yes I am on Weight Watchers. Yes, I did disregard that fact for several blissful hours. After about an hour and a half drive we finally arrived, hooray! (photo taken after, notice the lack of line...)

Yay! The line was really really long. An hour and a half long. We did not falter, we did not leave, oh no! The smell kept us going. Here are some of the signs we saw as we waited.

Sponcors! Sausag! We have travelled to another land, notice the strange language!

The children amused themselves by running around in circles in the gym. We amused ourselves by purchasing tie dye stuff from one of the vendors, also in said gym.

After waiting, and waiting, and waiting, it was time. Here is a (bad) photo of the serving line. Notice the pie shelves in the background.

Finally Finally FINALLY!!!! Here is the food...

Do you see the butter running over the mashers? Do you see the bacony bits in the green beans? I admit I ate most of my green beans on the way to the table. I did. I am not ashamed.

Here is a line of plates. Did I mention it was all you can eat? They had people circulating with buckets of sausages. Buckets! I am not kidding!

Do you SEE that!?!?! Insane! Amazing! Fabulous! Crazy crazy! The pools of butter, yes, they were pools. SO good.

Justin approves.

So does Porter.

Then we went to an antique store, where I found an amazing gift for an amazing friend! Hooray! And some cool hankerchiefs, as allergy season is starting. Not hooray.

After a combined 13 sausages, the men were very very smelly on the way home. This is what happens when we all ride in one car.

Out of love for my Jason I shall not post the photo of him, asleep, snoring loudly, in the car on the way home. I love you Jason. As soon as I have the picture of all of us behind the sign I will post it. Next up... Ummm, not sure yet.
